WebTrance is an automatic machine translation program. It is able to translate texts, help files, subtitles (.SRT or .SUB), web pages and windows from English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Turkish to Bulgarian and from Bulgarian to English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Turkish. The interface of the program can be used in English or Bulgarian. The program's interface is very simple. You will have a toolbar on the top of the screen, and a window divided in two panels below it. The left panel will host the text to translate, the right one will show the translated text. As in every machine translation program till today, the results of the translations are extremely poor. The program fails to translate some words at all, or produces meaningless phrases. This kind of programs should only be used to get an approximate idea of the content of a text. In no case they can be used as a replacement for a human translator. The package includes SkypeTrance, a plug-in for translating messages that will be sent through Skype. |
